The first time I posted with the title Fun in Florida was when I came to visit my sister during thanksgiving week! Now we are back in Florida with Latham and baby! :-) Our first family vacation!
We had a rough start getting here but now we are here and having fun times! Baby is all better from her cold and ear infection however Mommy is not doing so hot! I have a sinus infection now and the plane ride was so painful on my ears and sinuses! I started my antibiotic that I had leftover from my trip to China so hopefully that will clear it up. I feel a little better today but still not great! We are going to the beach later so hopefully the ocean air will do me good too!
So traveling with a baby being sick was not easy! I missed my mom being there to help and latham! but I managed to do it with the help of tylenol! Amaya did so good with our travels! Our first flight connected in Dallas and she napped for part of it and played and took a bottle for the other half. We were sitting next to a very nice mom and her 8 yr old daughter and they liked to play with Amaya. They shared their stuffed dog that lit up with her! :-) She started to get a little fussy becuase we couldnt walk around in the aisle at her nap time because of turbulence but then the motion of the plane helped her fall asleep on my lap.
we made it to Dallas and we found out our connecting flight was canceled due to the storms in the south! so we had a 4 and a hour half layover at the airport. we ate dinner in the food court - no high chairs so it was a juggling act to order the food carry it to the table and eat with her on my lap! :-) what kind of place doesn't have high chairs - weird! :-) then we went to the gate and there was nobody there, so we played on the floor! we met a nice lady who's a mom too and talked to her the rest of the time. We took turns watching each others stuff when we had to go to the bathroom and she helped make Amayas bottle too! People are so nice and helpful when you are traveling with a baby!
We finally got on the plane at 9 and Amaya slept the whole time! We got in pamela's car around 1am and then Amaya woke up! She was then up until 4! :-(
Yesterday we had a fun day! We had breakfast, played with Aunt Pamela and Daddy, then we went to lunch at my favorite gelato place! We walked there, it was so nice out - I love where Pamela lives and that you can walk everywhere. Amaya loves her stroller too, she was kicking her legs on the way there. So we had a nice walk to the restaurant, ate outside, Amaya had some french toast, it started raining and we had to go inside! Amaya is such a good traveler and happy baby! She loves to go out to eat and just look at the world and what's going on! Then after lunch it stopped raining so we went to a park by Pamelas house that has a childrens section with water fountains that come out of the ground for the kids to play in. I am going to attempt to attach video to this post of her with the fountains cuz she was so cute! She kicked her legs and laughed in the water. She wasn't wearing her swim diapers or bathing suit so we are going to go back when she can get all wet!
Then we hung out at pamelas, napped and then walked to dinner at an Italian restaurant! Amaya was so happy playing with straws while waiting for our food to come and we had to wait a LONG time! We were there for 2 hours! She had pasta, meatballs, and vegetables. She LOVES her vegetables - especially broccoli and she tried zucchini too! Everyone at the tables around us kept commeting on how adorable she was and how happy of a baby she is. One of them asked me how old she is and I told them 11 months and that we are having her first birthday party next month! A couple across from us bought her a cupcake early with a candle in it and she got to taste her first taste of frosting! She was intrigued by the candle too! I can't wait for her birthday and to see how she is with her cake! Then we went back to pamelas and she fell asleep around midnight but was up at 8am today so she should fall asleep at her normal time which is good for aunt pamela who has to work tomorrow!
We are going to the beach later today and the rest of the week our plans are to go to a park with some swings, the pool and the beach!

I loved the pictures and the video.
Next time,
try to take the video right side up instead of sideways. Amaya looks adorable and seems to be having fun in the water.
